We Are Priors of West Lynn
Priors of West Lynn is a long-established family-run business, proudly celebrating over 80 years of trading and now spanning four generations of the Prior family. The business was originally founded in 1956 by Edward Hector Prior, who started out with just one employee and a vision that has continued to grow and evolve ever since.
The business was later passed to Eric Prior, before being taken over by his son Chris Prior in January 1988. Under Chris’s leadership, and now Andrews, the company expanded significantly from a small team of just four members of staff into a thriving business employing over 65 people today.
In 2015, Chris’s son Andrew Prior re-joined the family business as the fourth generation, continuing the family legacy into the modern era. In October 2025, the business reached its most significant milestone to date with the move into a brand-new, purpose-built, multi-million-pound facility on the outskirts of the village — marking a new chapter in its continued growth while staying true to its family roots and traditional values.
